My First Ever Concert

Hi all,

A few weeks ago I went to my first ever concert! Due to my anxiety I always thought that this wouldn't be possible for me, but I'm so glad that I managed to do it. My fiancé and I travelled up to Nottingham to see my favourite band of all time - Glass Animals.

Before the concert we had a wander around the city centre just to look at what the city had to offer. After that, it was straight to the arena for Glass Animals.

The place was packed even though we got there early to make sure we could find our seats. We had a pretty good view of the stage as I didn't think I could handle being stood right next to it.

The whole thing was absolutely amazing and I loved getting hear a few of my favourite songs played live. It was a great experience!

My anxiety was high throughout most of it due to the amount of people, but the experience was still enjoyable. If I get the opportunity to see them live again, I'd love to go.

Their music is what inspires some of my writing. They're a staple on my writing playlist and always will be.

That's it for this week, I hope you enjoyed reading! See you next week.

My Trip to Loro Parque

Hi all,

In October, my fiancé and I went on holiday to Tenerife! It's the first time that we'd both been abroad in over a decade, so we were really excited and nervous.

One reason that we chose Tenerife is because of Loro Parque. We both love animals and wanted to go see all the beautiful ones that they had.

The experience was absolutely amazing! We watched a parrot show and then wandered around to look at all the animals. The penguins in particular were amazing, as you could stand on a moving platform to see the entire habitat. My favourites were the big cats, of course!

We saw lions, white tigers and a leopard. They were all beautiful and I was so glad I got the opportunity to see them. It was the first time I'd seen a white tiger in real life so that was my main goal.

As wonderful as Loro Parque was, we did get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of people there. So after we'd seen everything we wanted, we decided to head back to the hotel to de-stress. I did decide to pick up a new friend, a white tiger plush which my fiancé has called Catfish.

It was an amazing experience and I'm so glad that we did it. The rest of our holiday we spent wandering around Puerto De La Cruz and lazing in the sun. I didn't get any writing done as I thought I'd give myself a break before November. I did read plenty of books though!

That's it for this week, I hope you enjoyed reading! See you next Sunday.

Seeing Snow Leopards for the First Time

Hi all,

Two months ago my boyfriend and I visited Chester Zoo when we were up in Liverpool. My main reason for wanting to visit is the fact that they have a brand new snow leopard exhibit! If you've read my previous blog posts, then you probably know by now that they are my favourite animal. I've only ever seen one in pictures and video, so to see one in real life was amazing.

That's the very first animal that we went to see and they were so sweet! Both of them were sleeping in front of the viewing window and rhey looked so cute.

I knew that they were smaller than most big cats but I was still surprised. From looking at them, I felt like I could scoop one up in my arms for a cuddle. I know that I can't do that, but a girl can dream!

When it started getting busy, we had a walk around looking at the various animals and sat in the bat cave. Another animal that I really wanted to see was the jaguar. I've seen the previously but I really wanted to see Inka again. I remember seeing her birth announcement on Twitter and thought she was such a cute little cub. Now that's she grown, she's still as beautiful as ever.

Because I'm a child at heart I got a soft plush jaguar to take home with me. I've named her Inka, and she is always paired up with Cobalt, the snow leopard plush that I got on my last visit.

If you haven't been to Chester Zoo before and you are able to, I would really recommend it. All of the animals are amazing and they have such large habitats. I would love to visit again at some point if I ever go back up.

That's it for this week! What's your favourite animal? Have you ever seen one outside of pictures? Let me know in the comments! See you next Sunday.

My Trip in London

Hi all,

This week my boyfriend and I went to London for a few days and I thought I’d share some pictures with you! The trip didn’t go as planned due to a few set backs, but we managed to see everything we wanted to see.

Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium

We visited a cat café, which was amazing! The cats were adorable and we played with quite a few of them. My boyfriend took loads of pictures while we were there but these are my favourite ones. We also had some cake while we were there, though we were careful not to let the cats have any.

I’d recommend visiting this café if you’re looking to play with some cute cats. They do have a few house rules, but they’re easy to follow and makes everything less stressful for the cats. They even have pictures on the wall of previous residents who have now found their forever homes, which was cute!

The Natural History Museum

We visited the Natural History Museum to have a look at some of the dinosaur exhibits, though we did also end up seeing almost everything in the museum. Of course the dinosaurs were my favourite part, but I also liked the earthquake and volcano zone. It reminded me a lot of when I studied Geography at school, which was one of my favourite subjects.

I did get a soft plush of a Smilodon, also known as a Sabre-Toothed Tiger. Of course I had to pick out a big cat! Maybe I’ll write a story about a Smilodon one day, I do find them fascinating.

Smilodon, or Sabre-Toothed Tiger

That’s it for this week, I hope you enjoyed reading! Keep an eye out for next week’s blog post, which includes details of how you can download one of my books for free… See you next week!
